Horizon has been providing telecommunications services to Southern Ohio for 120 years. Founded in 1895 as the Home Telephone Company, our organization began offering local telephone service and grew to accommodate the ever changing needs of our customers, community, and employees. Today, Horizon delivers voice, video, security, and broadband services to business and residential customers. While we focus on serving our customers with advanced communications and entertainment technology, one thing has remained the same since our inception – our superior customer service and unmatched responsiveness.
Our business expanded from being the first to offer cable television and Internet service in Ross County to providing cutting-edge voice, video and broadband services throughout Ohio and bordering states. Our mission is to provide peace of mind to our customers and their end users by delivering reliable, industry-leading technology for entertainment and communication. We are different than other telecommunications companies because we strive to understand our customers’ needs and concerns when tailoring the perfect, affordable solution for their home or business. Our customers get the convenience of quality service from a local company who is committed to providing positive customer experiences.
Horizon supports many organizations in the community, including the United Way, Tecumseh!, the Chillicothe Paints Baseball Club, Junior Achievement, 4H, Red Cross and more. Through sponsorship, volunteering and donations, we are able to give back to the community that has always supported us.
WE ARE YOUR TRUE FIBER NETWORK PARTNER
Business is Changing
With businesses becoming more and more reliant on data connections, old technologies such as copper cable, isn’t holding up to new standards. More business is done through cloud services, streaming, VoIP and AI than ever before. These evolving applications are making fiber the new standard for reliable connectivity, even for the smallest of enterprise businesses. Horizon’s innovative culture has been preparing for growing data needs for decades. We saw the need to build a fiber network from the ground up while others were simply over-lashing their old network. In some cases this might work, but in many, this is only a temporary solution that won’t allow for scalability. Our network is designed and constructed with scalability in mind.
Scalability and Bandwidth
As a true partner to our customers, we want to see their businesses grow and know that with an old legacy network, data growth may not be probable. Our fiber network has the capability for higher bandwidth so when your business needs more, we can supply it. You’ll experience a greater ease in your workflow with the speed and symmetry our fiber offers.
Speed and Symmetry
We understand that you need to work quickly in order to service your customers and compete with your competition. You need the ability to upload just as fast as you download, have clear communication without dropping calls or freezing video conferences. We offer symmetrical speeds up to 100 GB per second! You will be able to run your business over your cloud applications and streaming devices without fearing constant disconnects and glitchy communication.
