CHILLICOTHE, OH (March 8, 2018) Customers of Horizon Chillicothe Telephone will be receiving their official 2018 telephone directory highlighting the Drug Free Clubs of America 2nd Annual M.A.D.E. (My Attitude Determines Everything) anti-drug rally that occurred on October 27, 2017. For 47 years, Horizon has utilized the cover of its directory to spotlight area artist’s photographs and artwork. This year, Matt Day, a local photographer and videographer, captured over 2,000 Ross County and Circleville High School students as they marched to the courthouse in solidarity to live a drug-free lifestyle. He was able to capture this memorable and inspiring event using a drone.
The MADE program is an incentive-based program that provides students with the support they need to live drug-free. Students agree to be drug tested for entry into the program and to submit to random drug testing during the school year. Students receive school prizes, perks and discounts from local businesses. About 60 percent of Ross County students belong to the MADE program and enrollment continues to increase.
Nearly 25,000 phone books will be distributed to Horizon customers in Ross, Pickaway, Pike, Vinton, Jackson and Hocking counties. Again, this year, the U.S. Postal Service will handle deliveries. Horizon customers that use a post office box will find a notice in their box. These notices should be taken to their post office window to receive their directory. Customers who have not received a directory by early April should stop by the Horizon business office at 68 E Main St, Chillicothe to pick up a directory.
